RX & SLAG

Naomi Safran-Hon, Looking back at the neighbors across the valley, 2022, Acrylic, lace, cement, sewing pins and archival ink jet print on canvas, 139 x 139 cm, ©RX & SLAG

For this occasion at Asia Now, RX Gallery will exhibit alongside the Slag Gallery, its associate in New York, the works of Bae Bien-U and Naomi Safran-Hon.

The panoramic photographs of nature in perpetual motion by Bae Bien-U, undoubtedly Korea's greatest photographer, reflect in a universal language the preoccupation to live in harmony with nature. They will dialogue with the work of Naomi Safran-Hon, an Israeli artist whose work is a synthesis of photography, drawing, sculpture and painting brought together both through historical and fictional perspectives; a captivating statement on the fragility of the human experience, the complicity of one's own nature and the vicissitude of collective identity.
