"The world is one” - Kanaria

Through this solo show, our objective is to immerse the spectator in the jubilant universe of Kanaria with her original and so singular technique of color pencils in oil painting.

Putting on an equal footing the plant, the animal and the human, Kanaria paints her vision of a utopian world where the three kingdoms vibrate in unison. She combines on her canvases a multitude of motifs, a sort of personal cosmogony, borrowing from both Japanese symbolism and numerous French references after being graduated from both Tama Fine Arts University in Tokyo and Beaux-Arts de Paris where she lived for seven years.

The elaboration of her works by scattered fragments participates in this feeling of retranscription of a form of collective consciousness of an idealized nature, fragments that she gradually makes meet without trying to erase the connections, in a constant game between finished and unfinished where her whites break with her so dear flesh color.

Some ceramics of fantastic creatures from her paintings will also be displayed.
