For Asia Now, Karin Weber Gallery is excited to propose a mix of artists, from very different backgrounds and cultures, based both in Asia (Hong Kong, Macau, Korea and Japan ), and Europe (UK). All are strongly engaged with Asian visual culture and work across a wide range of mediums, ranging from photography to ceramics, ink painting and sculpture. And all ‘cross boundaries’ in their practice, some physically, through their place of residence or extensive travel, some historically, via engagement with artistic styles and movements that precede their work by several centuries, and some spiritually, exploring different religions and belief systems. What unites all of these artists is their indefatigable quest for points of connection and community, not the differences and divisions that are so prevalent in our world today.
