Hafez Gallery is bringing to Asia NOW Paris seven contemporary artists from 4 different countries from the Middle East. The participating artists are; Afsoon from Iran, Faisal Laibi from Iraq, Maryam Beydon from Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Barrangi from Iran, Mohammed Zaza from Syria, Osama Esid from Syria, and Zainab Al Mashat from Saudi Arabia. The Gallery is presenting artists with diverse artistic practices and different techniques, such as; Mohammed Barrangi’s work which combines elements of Persian calligraphy, storytelling, text, and touches of humor using a creative process. Zainab Al Mashat where her work ranges from silkscreen printing and weaving revolving around topics like memories, emotions and questioning the self. On the other hand, Osama Esid explores unique photography techniques portraying the subject of personal identity.
