My-Lan Hoang-Thuy

On the occasion of Asia Now, Galerie Mitterrand is pleased to present a solo show by the artist My-Lan Hoang-Thuy. She was born in 1990 in Bourg-la-Reine, France, works and lives in Paris, France. Her paintings are paint-objects and painted-objects, they are made of solidified drips of acrylic paint on which the artist prints images, motifs, and souvenirs of her sometimes-trying personal history. The Belle Orchidée, Pissenlit Passable exhibition organized in April 2022 at the gallery marks the start of a collaboration between the artist and Galerie Mitterrand. Invited by Simon Baker, My-Lan Hoang-Thuy is also preparing her first solo exhibition at the MEP in 2023.
