« JOY ! »

Needless to say, 2020 and 2021 have been two very difficult years for many. Some of the negative feelings came over us, anguish, sadness, fear and even doubt. Today our civilization faces great challenges. If we were to compare this time to a landscape painting, it would be something gray and fuzzy. A scene not very bright, quite dark even, letting a glimpse of a character in the center, lost in the twilight, surrounded by mist, lost in this world he does not recognize.

But a painting is just a represenation of a moment. We have the power to change that. To overcome this negativity, to bring light and color to our life, to a painting.

Yes we have realized important things. We saw and grazed the darkness. We now know that we are the decision makers of the world in which we live. Whether this world is physical, psychological or metaphysical. We are free to choose what surrounds us, what affects us and how we want to affect others.

If we don't have what we love, well we have to love what we have. Because without gratitude there is no “joy”.

It is said that artists are messengers. For the 2021 edition of Asia Now Paris, Sato Gallery presents 3 contemporary Japanese artists who will bring their message of « Joy » to its visitors.
