Gallery 55 presents contemporary art proposals with non-conventional approaches. They are engaged in various events on the art scene, such as Art Basel Hong Kong, Art 021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair, Art Brussels, Art Genève etc.

For ASIA NOW 2019, Gallery 55 presents works by a selection of Chinese and Japanese artists.

Noritoshi Hirakawa’s photo series The Casa Barragán was shot at the Luis Barragán House and Studio, an official UNESCO World Heritage Site based in Mexico City. “unión de...” (meaning human and space), associate each other to be as part of their modes of life as union, in all aspects.

Ye Qing uses the most standard realistic techniques to depict ordinary objects on canvas, emphasis on gaze rather than appreciation, description rather than expression.

Chen Duxi uses a thin Chinese brush to create different aspects of movements, growth and flow of water, exploring the continuity of agreement between water and body.

Zhao Bang's video works focus on the delicate relationship between online digital products and human daily life, accidental absurd "bug", and how this interface aesthetic and cognitive system influencing and reshaping our understanding of "real boundaries".
