Kathy Alliou has directed the Department of Fine Arts in Paris since 2013 (formerly the Department of Scientific and Cultural Development).

First with Nicolas Bourriaud, then under the direction of Jean-Marc Bustamante and now Jean de Loisy, she and her team conceive, coordinate, and contribute to the exhibition program and the promotion of the institution's collection, a Musée de France.

She strives to think, write, and invent dialogues with artists and between the works of today and yesterday. She deploys a repertoire of artistic projects that range from curating exhibitions, to research residencies and all projects based on the word, the performative potential of bodies, the transmission and circulation of thought: international colloquia, seminars, conferences, and performance programs.

Recently she curated Alexandre Lenoir's solo exhibition at Sisley, Paris, "La vie qu'on mène", Sept-Oct 2020 and Éléonore False's exhibition, "Tout me trouble à la surface", March-April 2021, as part of the Théâtre des expositions, Palais des Beaux-Arts, Paris.
