Askhat Akhmediyarov

Askhat Akhmediyarov takes his inspiration from the ecological and social changes in contemporary Kazakhstan. Two actions are layered here:   the burning of gunpowder reveals the ornament of a textile sourced in the bazaars of Almaty while revealing stories made invisible under a thick layer of political mysteries such as a fog.
