Rome based Galleria A41 is exhibiting paintings by Iranian - American artist Amirhossein Akhavan. On display will be paintings selected from the artist’s exhibition titled Full Renaissance. Large, colorful paintings present a variety of subjects from the portrait of a brave editor of a women’s magazine in Tehran to the faceles soldiers of Keeping the Peace to the artist’s Weimaraner, Löic. This wild band of characters are splendid as they are immersed in the grand and tragic contexts of the Italian Renaissance and the Iranian Revolution. Galleria A41 will host an expanded exhibition of his works in Rome in March, 2022.
