Julien Sato - TOKYOÏTE Gallery presents Daijiro Hama and Ichi, two of the most productive contemporary Japanese artists. Self-taught, their works reflect an inner world that is both authentic and ingenious. Their originality is such that as spectators we cannot easily place their works. Yet these works absorb us and transport us to new places. TOKYOÏTE Gallery organise various events, presented in the international art scene at Tokyo, New York, the Urban Art Fair in Paris, etc.

Ichi (born 1984, Shikoku, Japan) was in his early 20’s when he went alone to New York to practice his street art, living there for many years in homelessness. This experience of facing the world by himself gives his creations a unique sense of fantasy and solitude. His artworks are full of imagination and satire aimed at modern society.

Daijiro Hama (born 1984, Kyoto, Japan) creates a unique universe in black and white where he mixes the abstract and figurative, landscapes and characters from his imagination.

The gallery will also present the new works of the Japanese Neo-Pop artist Fantasista Utamaro, as well as the works of the young Franco-Japanese artist Tiffany Bouelle in their stand at ASIA NOW 2019.
