Video Art from Japan

Curated by Edward Ball of the White Rainbow, London

The 2018 ASIA NOW Japanese Platform will include “Knee-Jerk,” and “WR Programme” a selection of young, emerging Japanese video artists, curated by Edward Ball of the White Rainbow in London.

White Rainbow, a non-profit organization based in central London which champions the work of emerging and mid-career contemporary Japanese artists, presents a specially selected screening program of moving image works from artists in its exhibition program. The gallery supports work in a range of media, with particular focus on performance, film and installation-based practices. White Rainbow's 2018/19 program presents a series of six solo exhibitions and projects by leading contemporary Japanese artists Chim↑Pom, Aki Sasamoto, Taro Izumi, Meiro Koizumi and Mari Katayama.
