Jung Hai Yun

Using traditional Korean materials, Oriental watercolor and thick mulberry paper, Jung Hai Yun (b. 1972) paints human environments (architecture of drawers, tubes and drapes). For the artist, drawers represent a collection of stored memories as well as a micro-universe of relations. On a cosmic level, the drawers represent separate planets or stars with threads that connect to form constellations. Independent drawers combine to form a harmonious whole like human relationships.
