ifa gallery presents a personal exhibition by Li Chevalier.
Recognized for her artistic language born of the encounter of the Western media and elements of traditional oriental art, Li is one of the most active female artists whose ambition is to bear a historical testimony. Her intense research materializes in her work, between Asia and Europe, by choosing
a plastic translation empathizing with the two recently departed Franco-Chinese masters: Zao Wou-Ki and Chu Teh-Chun.
In collaboration with the publishing house Cherche Midi, the artist dedicates to ifa Gallery's stand her latest monograph Trajectories of Desire, which was exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome this year. The book is prefaced by Luc Ferry with commentary by Gérard Xuriguera, Raphaël Enthoven, Emmanuel Lincot, François Jullien, Genevieve Galley and Daniel Bougnoux.
