SOU FUJIMOTO, architect
Sou Fujimoto, born in 1971, graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo University with a degree in architecture. He is known for his unique and daring tree-shaped and floral constructions which reflect the natural world. Among his most notable works are the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion in London (2013), the White Tree Skyscraper in Montpellier (2014), and the Final Wooden House in Kumamoto, Japan (2008). He has run his own architectural firm in Tokyo and Paris, Sou Fujimoto Architects, since 2000.
